Provides ongoing counseling helping victim’s recover from their trauma. The program manager is responsible for the overall supervision and daily operation of the Home to Stay program. The program is designed to assist with successfully reunifying children with their parents in Circuit 10 after removal due to abuse, neglect or abandonment by providing intensive in-home services as well as providing appropriate therapeutic and case management support to assist with the prevention of potential placement breakdown. The program manager supervises a team of Home to Stay Care Managers and Prevention Care Managers who work closely with the parents and the child/children in their homes and in the community to assist where needed in order to facilitate a successful reunification with their child and prevent further removal. Families are typically open with the Home to Stay program four to six months. In addition, the program manager will be an integral part of the Circuit 10 prevention system by representing Peace River Center at various Circuit 10 prevention staffins including the Youth at Risk Staffing, scheduled Lock-Out staffing, and Local Review Team staffing.
