A Peer Specialist provides peer mentoring and support for individuals with substance use disorders who have an open, active DCF dependency case.. They assist individuals in navigating the mental health and substance use services system as well as the dependency court system and in achieving resiliency and recovery as defined by the person. High School Diploma or GED. Has received services for symptoms of substance use and have at least three years of sobriety. Must have received certification from the State of Florida as a Certified Peer Specialist or be willing to complete and pass state certification within one year of hire. The Practice Manager actively manages the daily operations of the Wellness Clinic and Outpatient Psychiatric Services provided in the various Outpatient Offices, working in tandem with the Senior Clinical Director and Medical Director to coach and engage staff while modeling expected behaviors. This position also manages clinic performance to improve quality of patient care and service, as well as employee and provider satisfaction and productivity. Reporting to the Peace River Center Medical Director, this position will provide and oversee direct care to adult and child/adolescent patients inpatient or outpatient services utilizing both office-based face-to-face and a telehealth portal platform to provide psychiatric services. This position participates in evening and weekend on-call coverage and rounds rotation as well as consultation services provided to other community-based providers.
