Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will perform varied tasks to maintain the equipment, machinery, grounds, and facilities in an orderly, safe, and attractive state. This position also requires maintaining appropriate documentation relating to the effective management of maintenance operations, conduct basic safety inspections, servicing of light vehicles, general lighting repairs, minor plumbing repairs, minor electrical repairs, clearing roof drains, gutters, and other general maintenance tasks.

- Perform general maintenance duties and upkeep for Center facilities.

- Work as an integral part of the Operations team to ensure a safe and appropriate environment of care.
- Operate and maintain assigned vehicles to facilitate appropriate maintenance operations.
- Must be proficient in written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with staff and/or people from other agencies and/or companies.
- Must be able to bend, climb, sit and/or stand for prolonged periods and lift at least 50 lbs. to carry out the functions associated with this position.
- Must be able to establish and maintain a daily routine to provide appropriate operational services.
- Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of work-related materials and information.
- Must comply with organizational policies and procedures except those for which the employee gives notice of the need for reasonable accommodation and for which the organization can make such reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:
Education:
HS Diploma/GED
Experience:
Candidate should have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in various areas of maintenance, construction, or facility services.
Certifications:
None
Training:
Candidate must complete annual professional enhancement trainings as well as complete all agency assigned trainings.
Knowledge and Skills:
- General plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, air conditioning system maintenance, and other construction related skills needed to effectively complete assigned work orders.
- Ability to be flexible and manage time, resources, and customer services in a professional manner.
- Demonstrate understanding and ability to work with clients with mental health disorders or special needs.
- Demonstrate respect and appreciation for diversity (culturally relevant, anti-bias, and multicultural).
- Skills necessary to support and promote a professional work environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to form and sustain effective relationships with clients & team members.

Comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.

Transportation:
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have valid Florida driver's license
Must have clean driving record, as a designated driver it will require the employee to be 25+ years of age.
Must pass all driving requirements required by PRC.
Machines, Tool and Equipment Used:
Various drills, saws, refrigeration maintenance equipment, small hand tools, electrical test equipment, soldering and torch equipment, plumbing clearing equipment, pressure washing equipment, and other tools needed to facilitate maintenance operations.
Work Environment:
The work environment is fast-paced and consists of exposure to physical conditions typical of a normal office environment. The populations cared for will include patients who are confused, delusional, irrational, agitated, or uncooperative. Most of the job is performed while sitting, although the work may require occasional standing or walking and/or the lifting and carrying of small objects. A small amount of travel may be required for meetings etc. to another PRC location.
