Victim Services Program Assistant/Lakeland/1978/CR

This position will serve as program support to Peace River Center Victim Services, which includes the Domestic Violence Services Program and the Rape Recovery Program serving Polk, Hardee, and Highlands Counties.This is a Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Victim Services Office based position.The position is responsible for administrative tasks, report generation, answering the administrative phone line, granting access to the building through the security monitoring system, assisting with grant compliance, managing database software programs, completing program tracking as requested, and organizing the receipt of program donations. The Victim Services Program Assistant is a professional employee who is a team player, is highly organized, and is experienced with computer systems used, including MS Suite and the Agency system (Datis).

h.Back up for Crisis line as needed.

i.Provides administrative support for the Victim Services Program, which includes the Domestic Violence Program and the Rape Recovery Program.

j.Understand Confidentiality requirements and abide by them.

k.Conduct and appearance is professional as determined by Peace River Center standards and the Director of Victim Services.

l.Oversee the AARP volunteers regarding their training, work assignments, and related paperwork.

m.Employee acts as the point person for work order requests, purchase order requests, petty cash, and general needs of the program.

n.Assist with compiling, collecting, and revising information as requested for monitoring, contract and grant submissions.

o.Database administrator. Enter new staff into the database and train on its use. Close accounts of those no longer employed at PRC.

p.Monitor door security and allow access to buildings to maintain the safety and integrity of the building.

q.Receive and sort mail. Prepare mail that needs to be sent and arrange for appropriate postal delivery as needed.

r.This position is the "Facility Safety Auditor" and complies with the PRC responsibilities of that role including training and required drills.

s.Other functions deemed appropriate for this position.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma/GED. AA degree or higher preferred.

Experience:

Three years' experience as a Program Administrative Assistant or Secretary in a professional office environment. Other comparable experiences may be considered.

Training:

Initial Core Competency Training and 30 hours annual Crisis Lines Related Training

16 hours of professional enhancement training annually, including all PRC requirements.

8 hours of computer skills enhancement training

Technology Requirement:

As an employee of Peace River Center, if you are not assigned a company-issued phone, you will be required toauthorize the use of the Microsoft Authenticator app on your personal mobile device. This is necessary to access our payroll and communication system, Paycor, and Microsoft email as examples.This will ensure secure and efficient communication with the organization

Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and consists of exposure to physical conditions typical of a normal office environment. The populations cared for will include patients who are confused, delusional, irrational, agitated, or uncooperative. Most of the job is performed while sitting, although the work may require occasional standing or walking and/or the lifting and carrying of small objects. A small amount of travel may be required for meetings, etc. to another PRC location.
