The Transporter is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of clients and staff members to and from designated locations, including transport after discharge, field trips and appointments. This position requires vehicle inspections, completion of required paperwork, and adherence to safety protocols. The Transporter must maintain a valid Class C-CDL license with the appropriate passenger endorsement and comply with all applicable policies and regulations.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
Previous experience working with the public, preferably in human services.
Experience in transporting individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and/or
children is preferred.
Certifications:
None
Training:
Complete all PRC-required pieces of training.
Complete all contact hours required for certification renewal (if applicable)
Attend all PRC clinical and administrative functions deemed appropriate by the supervisor.
Complete Aggression Control Technique (ACT) training

Must possess and maintain a valid Class C-CDL license with a passenger endorsement and a safe driving record.
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Must meet the minimum qualifications to be insured by the Agency's
auto insurance carrier. Must submit to periodic random drug screenings.
- Compliance with all relevant regulations outlined in ADM-AP-020.
- Completion of 8 hours of professional development training annually, including all required PRC training.

As an employee of Peace River Center, if you are not assigned a company-issued phone, you will be required to authorize the use of the Microsoft Authenticator app on your personal mobile device. Work Environment:
The work environment is fast-paced and consists of exposure to physical conditions typical of a normal office environment. The populations cared for will include patients who are confused, delusional, irrational, agitated, or uncooperative. Most of the job is performed while sitting, although the work may require occasional standing or walking and/or the lifting and carrying of small objects. A small amount of travel may be required for meetings etc. to another PRC location.
