Job Summary:

The Crisis Response Team Supervisor - Highlands/Hardee (CRT Supervisor) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Crisis Response Team in Highlands and Hardee Counties. This position has some administrative and clinical functions within the Crisis Response Team to effectively organize the Team's workload, liaison with law enforcement and community partners, and represent Peace River Center at community events. The CRT Supervisor reports to and assists the Director of Crisis Response Services.

Work Examples:

Interviews and makes recommendations for applicants seeking to fill vacant positions within the program.

Meets regularly with Crisis Counselors either in-person and/or via ZOOM to discuss and identify potential programmatic issues and review difficult cases.

Provide community presentations to promote program.

Contact and meet with identified clients to assess their service needs.

Respond to client crisis situations to provide assessment, intervention and crisis resolution planning.

On-call to program staff to provide regular consultation on cases.

Work with the Director of Crisis Response Services to develop program resources that are efficient, fiscally responsible and effective.

Conduct onboarding with new staff through orientation to the program and training on service provision.

Displays high standards of ethical conduct. Exhibits honesty and integrity. Refrains from theft-related, dishonest, or unethical behavior.

Maintain all necessary documentation on service activities.

Coordinate with CRT Program Assistant to maintain CRT schedule.

Essential Duties/Requirements/Activities:

  • Ability to conduct crisis assessments, intervention and crisis resolution planning in various settings.
  • Ability to be on-call for case consultation and guidance as scheduled.
  • Ability to conduct follow-up assessments and contacts.
  • Ability to review staff timesheets and PTO requests as needed.
  • Ability to review and provide guidance on CRT staff documentation.
  • Ability to conduct public speaking engagements as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

Master's degree in Human Services or related field from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years' experience with mental health programs.

Certifications:

Must be a Registered Intern for Florida State licensing.

Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and consists of exposure to physical conditions typical of a normal office environment. The populations cared for will include patients who are confused, delusional, irrational, agitated, or uncooperative. Most of the job is performed while sitting, although the work may require occasional standing or walking and/or the lifting and carrying of small objects. A small amount of travel may be required for meetings etc. to another PRC location.
