This is a position requires a master's degree in nursing and must have graduated from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program, with specialty in Psychiatry. Must submit protocols with supervising physician(s) with the Board of Nursing. This position will complete a mixture of inpatient (60%) and outpatient (40%) psychiatric medication management work with adults, children, and adolescents.

Education:

Experience:
Evidence of clinical experience & competency
Assessment and diagnostic skills commensurate with education
Certifications:
Active and clear Florida License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
Protocols with a supervising physician with the Board of Nursing
Training:
Must meet all requirements for credentialing within the agency.
Completion of continuing education as required for licensure in the State of Florida: Biennium 24 CEUs: 1 in domestic violence and 1 in AIDs.
20 hours professional enhancement training annually including all PRC required. (Inclusive of CEU)

Technology Requirement:

Work Environment:
The work environment is fast-paced and consists of exposure to physical conditions typical of a normal office environment. The populations cared for will include patients who are confused, delusional, irrational, agitated, or uncooperative. Most of the work is performed while sitting, although the work may require occasional standing or walking and/or the lifting and carrying of small objects. A small amount of travel may be required for meetings etc. to another PRC location.
