Job Summary:
This is a position requires a Master's Degree in Nursing and must have graduated from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program, with specialty in Psychiatry. Must submit protocols with supervising physician(s) with the Board of Nursing. The Psychiatric APRN will provide outpatient medication management services to children, adolescents and adults. This position will also participate in the on-call rotation coverage of the inpatient units. Requires travel between facilities primarily in Hardee and Highlands County, as well as some travel to eastern Polk County. While services are primarily in person, the position requires some telehealth work.

Qualifications:
Education:
Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing and have graduated from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program, with specialty in Psychiatry.
Experience:
Evidence of clinical experience & competency
Assessment and diagnostic skills commensurate with education
Certifications:
Active and clear Florida License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
Protocols with a supervising physician with the Board of Nursing
Training:
Must meet all requirements for credentialing within the agency
Completion of continuing education as required for licensure in the State of Florida: Biennium 24 CEUs: 1 in domestic violence and 1 in AIDs.
20 hours professional enhancement training annually including all PRC required. (inclusive of CEU)

Work Environment:
The work environment is fast-paced and consists of exposure to physical conditions typical of a normal office environment. The populations cared for will include patients who are confused, delusional, irrational, agitated, or uncooperative. Most of the job is performed while sitting, although the work may require occasional standing or walking and/or the lifting and carrying of small objects. A small amount of travel may be required for meetings etc. to another PRC location.
